Folklore

From time to time, advancement in the field of research is also getting diverse. Folklore studies is an emerging field of research in literary arena. This literary study is unique in its own nature as it explores and delves deep into the behaviour, culture, politics, economic and aesthetic traits of different ethnic races.

1. Ph.D. research was submitted in the field of Kongu folk games

2. MHRD sponsored RUSA Project  of Rs. 6 lakh was undertaken to document the rich Kongu folk games.

3. A Symposium was conducted on the topic "Literature and Ethnography"

4. A book of 1200 pages titled "Kongu Naatupura Valakaarugal" (Kongu folklore usage) was published.

 
Modern Literature

         Research articles were published on "Feminism".

         Various researches were conducted on Diaspora studies

         Studies were conducted in Subaltern studies

         Research was carried out in Dalit Literature

Literary Criticism

        A study was conducted in the field of environmental studies

        A Symposium was conducted inviting well renowned Modern  writers from Kongu region as plenary speakers
