Machine Learning

Machine learning has improved significantly in recent years. Because of their ability to mine, analyze, and interpret large files, machine learning methods have been used in many fields, including image processing and biometrics. Any  biometrics method is built around a matching method, which is typically in one– to-one and one-to-many verification. Machine Learning algorithms improve the performance in biometrics recognition system. such as one-to-one or one-to- many matching, It can be performed automatically and efficiently with embedded Machine Learning algorithms in biometric recognition systems.  According to some researchers, machine learning methods can achieve robust and effective authentication models that outperform state-of-the-art system. In the last few years, biometric systems have rapidly grown for data security in diverse sectors like Projects of e-passport and visa, Aadhar card system. The growth of biometrics can be developed in public as well as private sectors for security purposes. The different organizations use biometric systems for different purposes to secure the data of an institute or organization such as confidential data security. The implementation of biometric systems is used in smartphones, e-passport programs, government offices, and services like police stations for detection of criminals, public gathering monitoring, banking, healthcare sectors and many more.

Data Mining

Computers have been an important part of human life and a large amount of data are available all around the world to find valuable and relevant data. It strengthens enterprise across a variety of practices in favor of decision- making. Therefore, an effective data mining model is more essential for each enterprise. The three common words such as data, information and knowledge are used in the field of computer science. Data is represented by texts, images, facts or numbers that are processed by a computer. In daily life, enterprises store vast large volume of data in different formats in different types of databases. The types of data used by enterprises are given as follows:

Transactional or operational data such as payroll, cost, sales and inventory, claim form and etc. Non operational data such as macroeconomic data, references, education, forecast data and etc. Meta data which is data about the data itself, such as data dictionary, logical database design. Information is obtained from the data as association, relationship or patterns. Information is translated into information consisting of past developments and predicted trends. Data mining techniques are processed on the basis of the factors are information, data and knowledge. Data mining is the center of Knowledge Discovery from Data (KDD). KDD method consisted of various procedures such as data selection, pre-processing, transformation, assessment of pattern and analysis of information.

 

Natural Language Processing

In recent times, human-action recognition has gained an immense deal of consideration owing to its potential application to an increasing amount of areas like man-machine interaction, surveillance, video search, and retrievals. The rapid development of technology and the rise of video capturing devices had led to extract meaningful information from videos. Huge improvement has been observed in multimedia sharing, communication, and authoring methods, multimedia, chiefly video, services performed to turn into extremely speedy on Web. That recent development requires a speedy and precise solution in the classification area and action redeployment of web-based videos. In this context, video classification comes into focus for diverse researchers. Feature extraction and descriptors computation are vital tasks associating with video classification and action recognition. The process of naming an action, visual descriptions, and sensory interpretations are known as action recognition. In general, an action is a four-dimensional object that contains temporal and spatial elements. Such elements are effectively utilized through computer vision and machine learning approaches. Vision approaches attempt handling out action discriminative features/descriptors acquired from video sequences while rendering appropriate strength towards disturbing cues. Machine learning techniques try to discover mathematical replicas from those descriptors and categorize novel descriptors owing to the learned models. For action recognition and video classification process, enviable descriptors are hauled out or extracted primarily, and video class decided due to these descriptors. Video chiefly comprises of a sequence of frames, all descriptors that are extractable from frames which retrieved for precise action recognition and video classification process. Therefore, this thesis offers a flexible and proficient vision-based method for human action recognition.
