UGC SAP DRS I to III

UGC has sanctioned UGC-SAP-DRS I scheme with an amount of Rs. 20 lakhs from 01.04.2004 to 31.03.2009. Subsequently, SAP DRS II was sanctioned and it has extended its financial support under UGC-SAP-DRS II scheme with an amount of Rs. 40 lakhs from 01.04.2011 to 31.3.2016. Furthermore, the financial support has been extended under UGC-SAP-DRS III scheme with an amount of Rs. 88 lakhs from 01.04.2018 to 31.3.2022.

Department Projects

The faculty members have undertaken several major research projects funded by UGC, ICSSR, Government of Tamil Nadu, Gulf of Mannar Biosphere Reserve Trust (A joint venture of UNDP, Government of Tamil Nadu, Government of India), etc. and so far, the department has completed 31 Projects and 1 Project is under progress.
