The Department is well-equipped with advanced laboratory facilities that support and strengthen its research objectives. It houses a diverse range of sophisticated instruments, including ICP-MS, HPLC, TOC Analyzer, PCR, FTIR, Lyophilizer, Kjeldahl Nitrogen Analyzer, Flame Photometer, UV Spectrophotometer, COD Digester, Flocculator, High-Volume Air Sampler, Fluorescent Microscope, Gel Documentation Unit, Trinocular Microscope, Leaf Area Meter, Hot Air Oven, Muffle Furnace, Incubator Shaker, Water Bath, Hot Plate, Heating Mantle, Fume Hood, Ultrasonic Bath, Plant Growth Chamber, Laminar Flow Cabinet, Autoclave, Microscope, GPS, Air Sampler, Incubator, Soxhlet Apparatus, Cooling Centrifuge, pH Meter, Conductivity Meter, Distillation Apparatus, and ArcGIS software.
In addition to these facilities, the Department also offers specialized laboratories and research units in environmental microbiology, biotechnology, climate change, pollution control, toxicology, green technology, marine ecology, and RS–GIS. Complementing these are well-designed seminar halls, smart classrooms, a library, field laboratories with experimental plots, and dedicated units such as the algal biorefinery. Together, these resources provide a comprehensive environment for advanced teaching, training, and cutting-edge research.
