One seat is reserved for permanently disabled candidates and one seat is reserved for sports person for admission into each of the programmes offered by the University Departments.
Candidates seeking admission under physically challenged quota shall produce a Medical Certificate on his/her permanent physical disability by an orthopaedic surgeon who is in the rank of an Assistant Surgeon. The candidates under this category will be selected on the basis of his/her score in Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test and such candidates should physically be able to undergo the course.
Candidates seeking admission under sports quota will be selected on the basis of their performance/representation at the following levels:
- Participation at the international level, the candidate should have been sponsored by a National organization
- Participation at the National level, the candidate should have been sponsored by a State Organisation.
- Participation at the inter-University level, the candidate should have been sponsored by a Zonal or District Association.
- Participation at the State Level, the candidate should have been sponsored by a Zonal or District Association.
The performance of the candidates in sports that are included in the All India inter-University Competitions alone will be considered. Sports like Rifle Shooting, Karate, Judo etc, will not be considered. Students seeking admission under sports quota should be below 25 years of age. The achievement of the candidates in sports in their UG course of study alone will be considered for selection.
