Department of Information Technology

To meet the growing demands in the field of Science and Technology in general and Computer Science in particular, the Department of Information Technology was started in the year 2008 under School of Computer Science and Engineering with the objective of imparting knowledge in cutting-edge technologies in Information Technology and Computer Science.

The department is currently headed by Dr. T.Ramesh. The department has a team of well qualified and learned faculty members with specialization in wider areas. The department is also supported by dynamic, young and dedicated supporting staff. The department offers full time 2 year PG Programme in Information Technology and M.Phil, Ph.D Programmes in Computer Science by fulltime and part time.

The Department has fully equipped PG Lab and a separate lab for Research. Also the department has a very good team of scholars working in the areas of Image Processing, Data Compression, Networks, Software Engineering, Information Security.

Department of Information Technology is dedicating itself to accomplish its vision of developing a well trained, skilled and competent professionals to suit the needs of the industry and academia.
