Department of Mathematics - Major Facilities

NBHM Library

The Department has a well equipped NBHM library containing 3371 books (up to March 2020).  Most of the books are at the research level related to the fields of specialization of our faculty members.  The books and journals are used by research scholars and post graduate students of our University and local colleges.  

Ramanujan Computing Facility

The Department has high performance computing cluster installed through DST PURSE Phase I programme.  The facility was created in 2014 at a cost of Rs.68 lakhs.  The cluster consists of a master node and 17 computing nodes.  This common facility for research can be used by all within the campus.

PG Computer Lab I

The Department has two computer labs for the post graduate students with 45 PCs.  Uninterrupted power supply with necessary back-up is provided.  Essential mathematical software have been installed.  An exclusive technical officer is available to look after the labs. 

Seminar Hall

An air conditioned seminar hall with a seating capacity of 120 is available at the Department which can be used for any seminar, workshop, etc.  A separate room for research scholars is available with 16 cabins.   24X7 wired and wifi internet facility is provided within the Department.
