1.Workshop on Tamil Unicode Typing (29.09.2012, 06.10.2012, 13.10.2012)

The department organized ‘Training on Unicode Tamil Typing in Computers’ for the PG students and research scholars of Bharathiar University. The training was conducted during 29.09.2012, 06.10.2012 and 13.10.2012 in which 30 persons were benefitted.

2.National Seminar on Moving Towards an Interactive Networked Knowledge Society (10th &11th March 2014)

The department organized National Seminar on Moving Towards an Interactive Networked Knowledge Society on 10th &11th March 2014.

3.National Education Day (11.11.2015)

National Education Day was celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The Head of the Department, Faculty members, Research Scholars and Students participated in the celebration.

4.Constitution Day (26.11.2016)

Constitution Day was celebrated on 26.11.2016 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The Head of the Department, Faculty members, Research Scholars and Students participated in the celebration.

5.National Unity Day (31.10.2016)

National Unity Day was celebrated on 31.10.2016 to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel. The Head of the Department, Faculty members, Research Scholars and Students participated in the celebration.

6.One Day Workshop on Instructional Designing (27.03.2017)

Instructional Designing is a key theme of the emerging E-Learning Technology that requires the attention of prospective e-learning designers, teachers and student teachers. The department organized a one-day workshop aiming to inculcate the knowledge and skill on instructional designing. The ‘Instructional Designing’, was explained through the lecture, demonstrations and activities conducted by Dr. Helen Sheeba, a senior Instructional Designer from International Education Management Services.

7.Soft Skills Training (22.08.2017)

The department organized a soft skills training program for the M.Sc E-Learning Technology students on 22.08.2017, to help the students to improve their personal and professional development skills. Mr. B. Narasimhan, Assistant Professor, Dr. NGP Arts & Science College, inculcated the soft skills to the students.

8.Workshop on Tamil Unicode Typing (23.09.2017, 26.09.2017, 04.10.2017)

The department organized ‘Training on Unicode Tamil Typing in Computers’ for the Tamil medium students studying in Government Arts College – Coimbatore to facilitate them to utilize the free laptops provided by the government for academic purposes. A Series of trainings were conducted as a part of a project funded by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) – Sriperumpudur.

9.Training on Career and Entrepreneur Skills Required for E-Learning Services Industry (01.02.2021 to 19.02.2021)

Training on Career and Entrepreneur Skills Required for E-Learning Services Industry was organized by the department to facilitate graduates of any discipline to acquire knowledge and skills on e-learning services industry. The training program was inaugurated on 01.02.2021 by Dr. P. Kaliraj, Vice-Chancellor, Bharathiar University. The training was scheduled from 01.02.2021 to 19.02.2021 comprising of 15 working days with 44 working sessions, and each session was covered in 1.5 hours.
