BUHEC has been constituted as per the government of India norms to review and approve all types of research proposals involving human participants’ dignity, rights, safety and wellbeing of the participants. It will look into the aspects of informed consent process, risk benefit ratio, distribution of burden and benefit and provisions for appropriate compensations wherever required.

About BU-IBSC

The BU-IBSC has been reconstituted in 2020 as per the new DBT guidelines.BU-IBSC mainly deals with the handling of the hazardous microorganisms/ genetic engineered organisms that are used in R&D in the campus. As per the DBT norms committee meets and regulates the R&D activities.
