Department of Electronics & Instrumentation - Major Facilities

Antennas and Microwave Laboratory

This laboratory is focusing on the development of Antennas and Microwave devices for various applications (Communications, Sensor, Biomedical etc). The main research activities include four broader areas such as Microwave Electronics, Microwave Materials, Biomedical Electronics and Electromagnetic Engineering.

Bioelectronics

The interdisciplinary field of research Bioelectronics defines the for establishing a synergy between Electronics and Biology. The flourishing bioelectronics industry seeks to exploit a wide range of contexts in conjunction with bioelectronics, for example, biofuel cells, bionics and biological materials for information processing, information storage, electronic components and actuators.

Nanoelectronics Lab

The objective of the Nanoelectronics lab is to design molecular electronics or revolutionary engineering solutions, such as departure from two-dimensional ICs on the surface of silicon wafers to three-dimensional structures. All these gigantic challenges and potential nanotechnology solutions are actively debated.

Signal and Image Processing Research Lab

Signal and Image Processing research lab is one of the advanced thrust areas of research which provides simple and accurate solutions for most of the Industrial automation process, Agriculture & human disease Identification. The mathematical equation based signal & image processing research groups are working in the above research areas.

VLSI and FPGA Lab, Biomedical instrumentation lab, PLC Lab

These labs are equipped with necessary hardware tool kits and software. Research scholars and Post Graduate students are getting practical experience so as to do their research work as well as project work satisfactorily. Further, the training programmes also have been conducted periodically in the field of Programmable Logic Controllers.
