Functions of the Anti-Ragging Committee:

• To design strategies and action plans for curbing the Menace of Ragging on the university campus.
• To organize awareness Programmes on gender equity, human rights, and dignity, moral and ethical values.
• To examine the complaints lodged by the students on any kind of Ragging and to conduct an inquiry in this regard.
• To formulate strategies to prevent and discourage the menace of Ragging on and off the campus.

Objectives:

Actions to be taken against students for indulging and abetting in Ragging at Bharathiar university.

Anti-Ragging Squad will be working under the Monitoring of Anti-Ragging Committee and will seek advice from the Anti-Ragging Committee. The functions of the Anti-Ragging Squad will be to keep a vigil and stop the incidences of Ragging if any, happening/reported in the places of Student aggregation including, Classrooms, Canteens, Buses, Grounds, Hostels, etc. The Squad will also educate the students at large by adopting various means about the menace of Ragging and related Punishments.
