For effective teaching and research, the department has a Computer Lab having 21 personal computers with internet facilities. For modern teaching, the department has a smart classroom equipped with computer and LCD projector. Every member of the faculty also has personal computers and laptops with internet connection and the Research Scholars room also has adequate number of computers with internet connections.
 

UGC SAP DRS I to III

UGC has sanctioned UGC-SAP-DRS I scheme with an amount of Rs. 20 lakhs from 01.04.2004 to 31.03.2009. Subsequently, SAP DRS II was sanctioned and it has extended its financial support under UGC-SAP-DRS II scheme with an amount of Rs. 40 lakhs from 01.04.2011 to 31.3.2016. Furthermore, the financial support has been extended under UGC-SAP-DRS III scheme with an amount of Rs. 88 lakhs from 01.04.2018 to 31.3.2022.

Research Lab

In research lab, scholars and faculty members work with the various thrust areas and deliver various applications to the need of the society. Researchers work on text analytics, web analytics, image analytics, health care data analytics, and privacy issues. All these tasks are carried out in data mining, data streams, and big data environments using machine learning, artificial intelligence, and optimization techniques.
